You usually feel a tiny prick as the needles are inserted followed by a feeling of relaxation and/or pleasant heaviness of the body. Many patients report that they feel relaxed but also alert (a wonderful way to feel). Others say that they can feel energy moving in different ways in their bodies during treatment. Occasionally patients will say that they feel nothing particular but will report feeling "more energy" or "more relaxed" the next day, or even over the next few days. This is yet another example of how individual acupuncture the acupuncture treatment is for every person.
